REVIEW BY MEGSEY
“A story that lingers long after the last page.”
This was a gripping Aussie crime thriller that hooked me from the start. The small-town setting adds an eerie, claustrophobic feel, making the tension even sharper. Jarrod O’Connor is a great lead—flawed, determined, and grappling with his own struggles while trying to protect the children at the heart of the case.
The plot is dark, fast-paced, and full of unexpected twists, exploring themes of trauma, belief systems, and the lengths people will go to in pursuit of their twisted truths. The emotional weight of the children’s survival adds another layer, making this a story that lingers long after the last page.
Highly recommend for fans of gritty, compelling detective fiction.
